Our gallery features the work of nearly 800 national and international craftsmen. The store's humble beginning, 35 years ago, grew from Don Funk's woodworking business. Having no venue, he opened Route 5 on a startup budget of seventy dollars!

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of south central Pennsylvania, Route 5 is now in its third location. People from all over the country (and the world, via the web) know about our gallery and the consistent high quality of the merchandise, the uniqueness of our products, and our unparalleled service. Route 5 has been deemed "a Tourist Destination" by the State of Pennsylvania and nominated to the top 100 Craft Galleries in the U.S. by Niche Magazine for six consecutive years. Locally, Route 5 has won for 14 years running, the Reader's Choice Award for "Best Gift Shop in the Cumberland Valley" by the readers of the Public Opinion newspaper.

From the North: Take I-81 S to Exit 14. Turn right onto Wayne Ave. and travel 1 mi to the intersection of 4th St. and Wayne Ave. Route 5 is located on the left side, at the corner of the intersection.

From the South: Take I-81 N to Exit 14. Turn right onto Wayne Ave. and travel 1 mi to the intersection of 4th St. and Wayne Ave. Route 5 is located on the left side, at the corner of the intersection.

From the East: Take US-30 W into Chambersburg. Turn left onto S. Coldbrook Ave. and travel 1.1 mi. Turn right onto Wayne Ave., and travel .2 mi to the intersection of 4th St. and Wayne Ave. Route 5 is located on the left side, at the corner of the intersection.

From the West : Take US-30 E into Chambersburg. Turn right onto US-11 S and travel .6 mi. Turn left onto US-11 N and travel .1 mi. Turn right onto Wayne Ave., and travel .4 mi. to the intersection of 4th St. and Wayne Ave. Route 5 is located on the right side, at the corner of the intersection.
